Dr. Neil Anderson

Dr. Neil T. Anderson is founder and president emeritus of Freedom in Christ Ministries with offices in Canada, United Kingdom, Switzerland, India, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and throughout the United States.  He was formerly chairman of the Practical Theology Department at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in the USA.  He holds five degrees from Talbot, Pepperdine University and Arizona State University.  A former aerospace engineer, he has 20 years of experience as a pastor and has written over twenty books including several best-selling books on living free in Christ. Freedom in Christ resources have now been translated into more than 30 languages.

Rev. Jerry L. Ferguson

Rev. Jerry L. Ferguson was elected district superintendent of the Los Angeles District in June 1999 after 24 years of pastoral service in the Church of the Nazarene.  His pastorates included Westchester and Atascadero on the Los Angeles District; Glendale on the Arizona District, Kailua-Kona on the Hawaii District; and Riverside Arlington on the Southern California District.  He also has extensive experience in law enforcement in Pasadena, South Pasadena, Los Angeles County, Hawaii County, and Atascadero.

He serves on the Board of Trustees for Point Loma Nazarene University, the Board of Regents for Centro de Estudios Ministeriales, and the Board of Directors for Emmanuel Bible College.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Point Loma Nazarene University and his Master of Arts degree from California Graduate School of Theology.

Dr. Dan Rumberger

Dr. Rumberger has been in clinical practice for over the last 25 years in Ohio and Iowa.  He is a licensed psychologist and health service provider in the state of Iowa, and has been listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology since 1983.  He is also a member of the Iowa Psychological Association and the National Association of Christian Counselors.  Dan serves as a consultant and Board member for Deeper Walk International, formerly ICBC Int’l., advocating for the effective application of a biblical Christian worldview to professional counseling and ministry.  He has been married for 35 years and has two adult children.

Dr. Christopher Shaw

Dr. Christopher Shaw is the director of Desarrollo Cristiano Internacional (Christian Development International) and publishing editor for the magazine Apuntes Pastorales (Pastor’s Notes) with a circulation of 40,000. Dr. Shaw guides and encourages pastors and women in leadership across all of Latin America. He has extraordinary experience building leaders, including 10 years as a professor at the Bible Institute of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in theology. He later received a master’s degree and a doctor of missiology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Los Angeles, California. Christopher and his wife Iris have three children. He lives with his family in Argentina.

Dr. Darvin Smith

Darv is a medical doctor and certified addictionologist who has been working in the addiction and recovery field for over 35 years in over 30 countries. Darv has founded and directed innovative recovery clinics and programs in Colorado and now teaches internationally. He is the Co-Director of the Addictive Behavior Counseling Ministries, International / University of the Nations/ Youth With A Mission with his wife since 1989. Darv and Carol have led or mentored younger leaders in leading counseling training schools in Kona, Hawaii (5x), Amsterdam, NL (5x), Chatel, Switzerland (1x), Moscow, Russia (2x), Kiev, Ukraine (1x), and JeJu, Korea (1x).  Darv is also the president of ISAAC (International Substance Abuse and Addiction Coalition), an international Christian networking ministry. Darv and Carol have a home in Boulder, CO and have 4 grown children & 12 grandchildren.

Dan Struble Ph.D. is the president of Montreat College. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He served in the Navy and Navy Reserve for 21 years, retiring as a Commander. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California (USC).

In higher education administration, Dan has focused his efforts on institution building. At Occidental College, he was acting director of major and planned giving during its successful $65 million campaign. At the U.S. Naval Academy, he founded the Naval Academy Foundation, which increased funds raised annually from $5 million to over $30 million, and co-designed its successful $250 million campaign.

Dan has taught or lectured at USC, Occidental College, and the Naval Postgraduate School. He has prepared curriculum for the Naval War College, served as an analyst for its Global War Games, and published numerous articles in the Naval War College Review and Shipmate.

At Montreat College, Dan has focused on strategic and master planning. These efforts have defined an ambitious future for the college, and morale has skyrocketed among faculty, staff, students, and volunteers. The college has moved to record enrollment in its traditional program, and fundraising has increased to record levels. The multi-year strategic plan initiatives continue to drive indicators in the positive direction. The college is developing the staff, systems, and programs to realize its vision of becoming the leading provider of Christ-centered higher education.

Dr. Dallas Willard

Dr. Dallas Willard is a Professor in the School of Philosophy at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He has taught at USC since 1965, where he was Director of the School of Philosophy. He has also taught at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, UCLA and the University of Colorado.

His philosophical publications are mainly in the areas of epistemology, the philosophy of mind and of logic, and on the philosophy of Edmund Husserl. He has served on the boards of the C.S. Lewis Foundation and Biola University, and is a member of numerous evaluation committees for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Recipient of numerous academic honors, Dr. Willard also lectures and publishes on religion. His books include:

Dallas and his wife Jane live in Southern California where Jane is a Marriage and Family Therapist who helped establish Shepherd’s House. They have two children and a granddaughter.

John first became involved in disability ministry as a volunteer at Grace Community Church in 1978.  He met Joni Eareckson Tada and became a volunteer at Joni and Friends.  In 1990, John joined the full time staff and is involved in planning, developing and implementing several new programs:

  • Regional Conferences on the Church and Disability.
  • National and International Congress on the Church and Disability.
  • Helped start Family Retreats which reached over 800 families in 2008 alone and is now international with over 1400 short term missionaries.
  • Helped start Wheels for the World in 1994, growing to over 50,000 wheelchairs in 18 countries by 2008.
  • Currently developing a new international program called Total Access, making homes, buildings and churches accessible to those with disabilities.
With John's passion and his expertise in international ministry, he has helped accelerate the mission of Joni and Friends in playing a key role of taking the Gospel to ALL the Nations. John has been married to his childhood sweetheart, Jackie for 48 years.  They have two sons and nine grandchildren.
