Mike Woytasek

President Pro Tem

e-mail

Mike Woytasek has served his community, often in un-glamorous ways, for 30 years. Beginning with environmental studies and then monitoring the computers that control the pumps, Mike keeps the Twin Cities plumbing from backing up.  Mike also practices the life model in community. Not only has he attended six THRIVE training conferences, led two home-based Life Model groups (one which focused on Dissociative Identity Disorders) but he has attended the same church for 25 years and served as elder for six. The New Hope Church is known for its innovations in recovery and healing. Mike initiated and trained the participants in the church healing prayer ministry. He recently initiated, trained and led the first Thriving Recover Your Life class at church as well.

Mike is a contributing author to Dr. Fernando Garzon’s research book on the effectiveness of Theophostic prayer ministry called Pursuing Peace. This research project combined the work of professionals and lay ministers to see if the method was effective and not too complex for lay people.

Mike has trained himself carefully. He graduated from the Village School of the Bible, completed six years with Bible Study Fellowship and took Basic, Advanced and Level II Theophostic Apprenticeship under Dr. Ed Smith. Mike also served as a Billy Graham phone counselor for 14 years. Mike is a lover of the Word and is married to Deana, his best friend, ministry co-laborer and greatest supporter.
